Soundfreaq Bluetooth speaker trio takes on bedroom, study and bag

Speaker manufacturer Soundfreaq has outed its new Bluetooth range for CES 2014, a trio of models intended to range from portable playback through to home use with mid-century styling. Largest is the Soundfreaq Double Spot, with a shot of Scandinavian styling cladding twin speakers, optional Tone Control for a choice of three EQ presets (flat, warm, or bright), and has three options for hooking up sources: Bluetooth, USB, or 3.5mm aux-in.

Although Double Spot is intended as a home unit, Soundfreaq will also offer a battery pack that can be used with it. Alone, the speaker will be $119 when it goes on sale this summer, but the battery – billed as adding seven hours of standalone use – will be $39, and included in a bundle at select retailers for $149 all-in.

Next up is the Soundfreaq Sound Rise, which updates the company's original bedroom alarm/speaker. Along with a clock and dual alarm, there's Bluetooth, a USB port, and a choice of different display brightness settings including switching the whole thing off if you need pitch black to sleep in. It'll go on sale in April, priced at $69.

Finally, there's the Soundfreaq Pocket Kick, the true portable of the bunch. Taking on speakers like the Jawbone JAMBOX range, the Pocket Kick has a 10hr rechargeable battery and an integrated microphone for use as a speakerphone when connected over Bluetooth to a phone.

There's also a 3.5mm aux-in port and a microUSB port for charging. Soundfreaq says it will hit shelves in late spring, priced at $99.
