SoulCycle takes on Peloton with at-home Equinox bike

There's a new multi-brand super hardcore pop-friendly way to get exercise without leaving your living room. The folks at Equinox are adding in-home exercise equipment to compete with the brand Peloton. But before you go any further, make sure you see the BIG disclaimer in the first paragraph below the cut.*

*Just so you are aware, a one Stephen Ross is the majority owner of Equinox Fitness Clubs, and therefor Equinox itself, as well as SoulCycle. As noted by Advocate, this week this majority owner of the brands Equinox and SoulCycle will host a fundraiser for the current President of the United States, Donald Trump. This event will take place on Friday, August 9, 2019, in Southampton.

Besides that, we've got some fun DETAILS about this new exercise hardware and software and stuff. The platform will launch this fall. They'll be selling the same stationary bike to consumers that are available at SoulCycle studios. You'll be able to get all sorts of exercise at home and never leave your home ever again!

There'll be a whole new system in place from Equinox that'll bring together a bunch of brands like SoulCycle and Precision Run. The SoulCycle stationary bike will be sold to consumers this fall with a lovely attached screen so you can get all pumped up by a set of pre-recorded instructors, whenever you do so desire.

Equinox will also soon be selling their Woodway treadmill, which I'm sure all Precision Run studio lovers will already know of and desire. Or maybe they've used the treadmill a few times and decided they'd rather just stick to the bike – I don't know. I'm not your dad.

There'll be an invitation-only launch popping up this fall. You'll be able to purchase the equipment this winter. Once the platform catches on – if it catches on – more people will be able to toss massive amounts of cash in 2020 at Equinox, therefore Stephen Ross, therefore Stephen Ross's chosen beneficiaries and causes therein. We'll let you know more when we know more!
