Sony Xperia T3 combines mid-range and style

Sony has introduced its new mid-range handset, the Xperia T3. With the newest phone comes the iconic Xperia design foundation and an ultra-slim profile, but accompanying it are lesser specs than you'd get with the Z2, as an example.

The phone was unveiled in London today, where Sony hailed it as the thinnest 5.3-inch smartphone currently available. The handset sports a 720p resolution and the company's BRAVIA and TRILUMINOS technologies, and pairs it with a 1.4GHz quad-core processor.

There's 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, as well as a microSD card slot. The rear camera, meanwhile, is a decent 8-megapixels with an Exmor RS image sensor. Accompanying the camera is various related software including creative effects, portrait retouch, timeshift burst, AR effect, and a social broadcasting function.

The design itself aims to maintain the Xperia design quality found in its higher end handsets. With this goal in mind, Sony used stainless steel for the frame and adorned it with a matte backing. Check out the video above for more info.
