Sony VAIO TP1 Living Room PC is released - Still looks like a roll of toilet paper

Remember back in February when we showed you Sony's aptly-named TP1 Living Room PC? Well Sony has finally gotten around to releasing it, and they really didn't make a big deal about it.

After a while I wondered if they were even going to bother releasing it, when it has so little to offer in comparison to other PCs in the same price range. You won't have the option of putting in a CableCard, also no HD optical drive option. You also get a rather over sized keyboard, though it does include a trackpad, which makes up for its large size.

You will get an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83GHz CPU, 2GB of DDR2 and a 300GB hard drive. An HDMI port allows you to hook up to an HDTV, though you'll really want to put in your own HD DVD or Blu-ray drive to take advantage of it. In all, it doesn't seem worth the $1600 price tag.
