Snap is selling a dancing hot dog costume for some reason

For reasons that aren't at all clear, it appears Snap, the company behind Snapchat and Spectacles, is selling a dancing hot dog costume on Amazon. The costume is the only product listed under the Snap Inc company's profile page and it is priced at a hefty $80. If that doesn't deter you — and you're not too tall and have a strong desire to dress as a hot dog this Halloween — the costume can be yours.

The costume recently appeared on the website and is listed as available now with Prime shipping. The costume exists in two parts: a pair of pants and a tunic. When put on together, the costume makes the wearer look like a giant all-beef frank in a bun with with relish, ketchup, and mustard. There's also a pair of headphones, hence the 'dancing' part of the title.

The headphones aren't real and the costume doesn't dance on its own, of course, so you'll need to pack your own earbuds and grooves. The product page indicates that the costume will best fit people who are less than 6'4" tall, which means basically everyone. There are slits for the wearer's hands to be exposed, as well as the head as shown in the image above.

It is anyone's guess why Snap is selling the outfit — it appears to be a random oddity for the fun of it. The company is no longer a stranger to selling physical products, though, thanks to its Snap Spectacles glasses. With those, users are able to record short videos from their own point of view, then share the videos on the service's Snapchat app.
