Synology offers new DiskStation DS410 NAS server

We have talked before about the Synology line of NAS devices. In fact, we have even reviewed one of the firms NAS devices in the past. The company makes a full line of storage devices ranging from pro level units to machines designed more of the home or small office users.Synology has announced its latest NAS server called the DiskStation DS410. The device is an affordable NAS solution designed to be used by the home or small office user. The device consumes low amounts of power needing only 56W when in use. It also features Wake on LAN/WAN and has scheduled on/off times.

The NAS server supports both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch HDDs and can support a total of 8TB of storage in its four drive bays. The machine uses a 1.06GHz processor and has 512MB of memory. Users can set the DS410 up to be used as a FTP server, web station, photo station, iTunes server, printer server and many more uses are supported. The DS410 is shipping now.
