Sharp Blu-ray players lack Profile 2.0

Sharp is now known for having the Blu-ray player with the fastest load times, but now the company is adding two new models to the current line up. The BD-HP21U and the BD-HP50U also have this quick start feature, but they haven't received the same updates as some other company's players out on the market. One perk, however, is the low price.

Both models notably lack Profile 2.0 but they do have a fairly high resolution. The BD-HP21U sports quick start, but it tends to resemble last year's model. The BD-HP50U has a RS-232 port but it's dropped onboard decoding for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Notable features for the Sharp BD-HP21U include Profile 1.1, quick start, Deep Color support, and Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio onboard decoding. You can buy it now for $350.
