Sharp Aquos HN-PP150 digital photo printer & player

Sharp Japan have announced the Aquos HN-PP150, a photo printer that can also be used to display images on a TV via its HDMI output.  Images can be loaded onto the PP150 either via a memory card (with SD, SDHC, MMC, Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro cards all supported), via USB 2.0 or by transferring them via InfraRed.  It can also be used to browse internet photo galleries.

The HN-PP150 is DLNA compatible and can print images directly from celphones or digital cameras.  Prints are in 300 x 300dpi resolution and can be a maximum of 101.6 x 152.4 (postcard sized) and take around 57 seconds per image.  Red-eye reduction, backlighting correction, contrast and brightness can all be tweaked on the printer itself, and there's a remote control included.  Internet access is via a wired ethernet connection.

Another model, the HN-PP100, is available, which lacks the internet connectivity and DLNA support but otherwise offers the same functionality.  The HN-PP150 will launch in Japan on January 8th, priced at $250, while the HN-PP100 will arrive in time for Christmas on December 5th, priced at $200.
