Sharp AQUOS A-Series HDTVs hit Japan

Sharp just keeps cranking out the TVs! The latest in their AQUOS line is the A-Series. It's getting its first reveal in Japan and consists of three different HDTVs: the LC-52AE6 at 52-inches, the LC-46AE6 at 46-inches and the LC-40AE6 at 40-inches. But the best thing about them is they're green.

These TVs actually share a lot in common. For instance, they all three have a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, 120Hz de-judder tech, a digital TV tuner, 450 nits of brightness, 15,000:1 contrast ratio, stereo speakers, a viewing angle of 176 degrees and an ambient light sensor. Plus, they consume much less power, making them an eco-choice for TVs.

It seems the only real difference between these models is the size of the screens. The 40-inch model will be shipping on April 10th for the equivalent of $2,076. The 46- and 52-inch models will be shipping on May 15th for the equivalent of $2,698 and $4,048, respectively.
