One of several LEGO sets made for the release of Star Wars Rogue One is here - Director Krennic's Shuttle. Behold, the LEGO Empire's award for Best Dressed in pre-Yavin attire goes to none other than Director Krennic. He'll be arriving in his all-black shuttle to emphasize his white outfit - and cape, of course. This vehicle should remind any hardcore Star Wars fan of the Emperor's own shuttle - and several other three-winged beasts made for only the most powerful of Imperial agents.

Today we've got our hands on a number of Star Wars Rogue One toys before they're released - and we're going to share the lot up close and personal. We've got a couple of Black Series action figures, a couple of slightly heavier-duty action figures in the Elite Series from the Disney Store, a couple of Hasbro 2-packs (complete with super-absurd mega-weapons), and some JAKKS Big-Figs to crown the massiveness of this collection off. And, as no modern collection of Star Wars figures would be complete without, we've got a couple of brand new Funko Pop vinyl bobblehead figures as well, all from Rogue One.

We've got the biggest LEGO Technic set in the world here this week and we're about to get in deep with how much we dig it. This is the LEGO Bucket Wheel Excavator, a "Technic" brand set that utilizes mainly Technic pieces, but a small set of standard LEGO bricks as well. This set is more than just a Technic set - it's not just a model. It's not the sort of thing an adult builds and lets sit on a shelf, as some LEGO Technic sets are prone to do. Instead, this set, be it on purpose or by complete coincidence, works with LEGO Minifigures.

The dinosaur "toy" shown here is not what it appears to be. It's supposed to be a toy for smart kits - or, to be fair, goofball kids if they know how to press a button and speak. It looks like a toy, but it's not just that. This is the CogniToys Dino, and it's likely the smartest dinosaur-themed object in my living space. He's also the most-used children's toy here (used by children or their parents) over the past few weeks. He cannot be stopped.

Over the past week we've been building the LEGO Porsche 911 GT3 RS, a masterpiece in top-level building-blocks construction. This set is 2,704 pieces large, and it's going to take you a few hours to construct, regardless of your skill level. This is the sort of set you put together in your spare moments - or something you spend an entire weekend on. Either way, you'll find this vehicle ending up filling up your desk at 6” (17cm) high, 22” (57cm) long and 9” (25cm) wide.

I don't believe in the conspiracy theories that say critics have a vendetta against DC Comics and/or Zack Snyder. I also don't believe that a movie with both Batman and Superman in it needs any help to succeed in the box office. That's not what we're here for. What I'm here for is to explain what you're in for when you eventually see this film. I'm here to suggest that, while this film is not good in the same way The Dark Knight was good, it's a fantastic base for the future of the DC Comics film universe.

When I was a teen, I got to experience my first ever Star Wars movie in a theater. But last night, I feel like I truly got to experience Star Wars in a theater for the very first time. Believe it or not, BB-8 remains part of our everyday lives three months after we published our first review. This little guy sits charging next to my television - I'm just a few feet away from him right now. That's a real rarity when it comes to reviews of oddities. With a smartphone, sure - it's not unheard of that I might stick with a smartphone for months and months. But a toy? In this case, even though I've reviewed products galore in the meantime, this BB-8 by Sphero toy has remained in heavy circulation.
