Scientists say Terminator would be scary, that we shouldn't make one

A gathering of elite scientists made warning to the world this week that Terminator-type robots would be a bad idea. With striking foresight, these scientists have foretold of a time in which we could be at the mercy of autonomous machines, artificial intelligence behind weapons, and a future in which we'd have to watch out for individual attacks, if not just a full-scale war. This is real. Scientists have come together to say that we cannot trust the machines.Hawking, Musk, Woz warn of AI future

"We are talking about autonomous weapons, which means that there is no one behind it. AI: artificial intelligence weapons" said Stuart Russell, professor of computer science at University of California, Berkeley. "Very precisely, weapons that can locate and attack targets without human intervention."

In the Terminator film series, artificial intelligence was discovered in a chip from an AI robot from the future. That AI was then used to create the robot that then came back in time and provided the chip. It was inevitable, in an impossible sort of way.

We don't need science fiction films to bring about the dawn of the machines. We're already almost there.

According to Discovery, it was Angela Kane, the German UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs from 2012-2015, who spoke up this week to say that "it may be too late."

"There are many countries and many representatives in the international community that really do not understand what is involved. This development is something that is limited to a certain number of advanced countries"

This meeting takes place from January 19th through the 23rd, 2016, and is located at a ski resort by the name of Davos. You may have heard it called the World Economic Forum in Davos, or Davos 2016. You can learn more about the World Economic Forum 2016 at the official WEforum website.
