Samsung speaker-dock printer promised for IFA 2013

Being able to print out photographs, e-mails, and other documents is something that we take pretty much for granted. This task has been easily accomplished from your computer for decades. However, it can be much more difficult to print out photos and other documents from your smartphone without having to share what you want to print the computer via e-mail or other methods.

Samsung is showing off some of its printing innovations at IFA 2013 in Berlin. The new products outline several ways Samsung is looking to make it very easy to print out photographs and other content directly from your smartphone without having to share anything wirelessly. Samsung currently plans to be the top A4 laser printer and multifunction printer manufacturer by 2017 thanks to innovations seen at IFA this year.

Some of the most interesting printers Samsung is showing off during IFA 2013 can be seen in the image above. The Wave is the oval-shaped printer that is thicker in the back than the front seen on the left-hand side of the image above. This printer features a smartphone docking function allowing users to directly print photos and other content saved on their device.

The next printer, which is in the middle of the image, is called the Indie. This printer has a smartphone docking port allowing you to easily print content directly from the smartphone and also acts as a mobile docking sound system. The printer is also able to charge the smartphone while it is docked. Perhaps the strangest of these printers is the One & One mono laser printer. This printer allows users to choose one additional color from cyan, magenta, or yellow to complement the standard black. That particular printer sounds very gimmicky. There's no word on when these printers might come to the retail market.
