Samsung S9110 won't go head to head with LG GD910 in UK

Samsung has answered the question of how its S9110 watch phone might compete with LG's upcoming GD910 in the UK, by deciding not to launch it at all.  After revealing that the S9110 – which has a 1.76-inch glass touchscreen and measures just 11.98mm thick – would land in France later this month, Samsung confirmed that it had no plans to release it in the UK "for the foreseeable future".

In France, the Samsung S9110 will be priced at €450 ($639), which seemed low compared to rumored prices of the LG GD910 in the UK, which some have pegged at as much as £1,000 ($1,621) on a pre-pay contract.  The GD910 has 3G HSDPA, Bluetooth and a 1.43-inch LCD touchscreen, and will arrive in the UK in August.

Samsung are yet to confirm exactly what the specifications of the S9110 might be, beyond that it will support Bluetooth, have an MP3 player and be able to sync with Outlook.  There's also voice recognition and a speakerphone.
