Samsung S5830 "Galaxy S Mini" leaks

Images purportedly showing an upcoming compact Samsung Android smartphone have leaked, prompting suggestions that the company intends to launch a Samsung Galaxy S Mini variant imminently. The Samsung S5830, according to SamFirmware, has a display smaller than the Galaxy S' 4-inches, paired with a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and a chassis that looks certainly at least a little inspired by the iPhone 4.

There's also Bluetooth and WiFi, along with a 3.5mm headphone socket and microUSB port. No word on how much internal storage is present, but as you'd expect there's a microSD card slot too. The S5830 is apparently running Android 2.2.1 Froyo, and can shoot 720p HD video as well as 5-megapixel stills.

According to the tipsters, Samsung expects to debut the S5830 at Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona next month. The company has already committed to bringing at least one new Galaxy Tab tablet and Super AMOLED Plus based dual-core smartphones to the show.
