Samsung announced today that it's absolutely massive 88-inch Q9 QLED TV will release in North America. The TV has already enjoyed a launch in Southeast Asia, but now it's time to see if there's a market for such a huge TV here in the States. At the end of it all, there may not be many buyers willing to pick this up, as this one of the most expensive TV's we've ever come across.

The Q9 is now the high-end model of Samsung's QLED line, which features 55, 65, and 75-inch models depending on where in the world you happen to be. Of course, trying to pick out a "high-end model" in Samsung's QLED line is a little unnecessary, as most of the TVs in the lineup are more expensive than regular TVs.

The Q9 certainly isn't any exception to that rule, as taking one home will set you back an eye-watering $19,999. That's more than a lot of people can afford, and even among those who can afford it, a $20,000 TV may still be a hard sell. After all, that's a very expensive price to pay, especially when you consider that the 75-inch QLED model is available for less than half the cost at the moment.

Samsung boasts that the 4K Q9 is able to achieve 100% volume color, with wide color gamut and "remarkable brightness" to boot. The TV looks great around the edges too, thanks to what Samsung calls "Boundless 360 Design." A transparent optical cable will keep things looking clean behind your TV, while other features include 10-bit HDR and a 240 Hz refresh rate.

So, if this sounds like the TV for you and you've got a spare $20,000 laying around, you can order one now from Samsung's website. Just as well, the Q9 is also launching in South Korea today, with a release in Europe coming up soon. So, how about it? Do you think an 88-inch QLED TV is worth the $20,000 price tag?
