Samsung promise new Galaxy Tabs & dual-core Super AMOLED Plus phones for MWC 2011

The dust is only just settling on CES 2011, but already Samsung has promised not only new smartphones but new Galaxy Tab tablet models at MWC 2011 next month. According to the Korea Herald, the new handsets will have dual-core processors, run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and pack the same Super AMOLED Plus displays as debuted on Verizon's new Samsung 4G smartphone last week.

As for the tablets, the WSJ reports that the new slates are also headed to the Barcelona show in February. Samsung has been promising various Galaxy Tab models – spanning a range of sizes both smaller and larger than the first-gen 7-inch model – since IFA 2010 last year, though there's no word on what new screen sizes will be offered.

However, according to Samsung mobile exec Shin Jong-kyun, the new tablets will be based on "fourth generation technology" though it's unclear whether he's referring entirely to 4G connectivity. Samsung announced an updated first-gen Galaxy Tab for Verizon's 4G LTE network last week.
