Samsung Galaxy Tab hits Verizon Nov 11 for $599.99

Verizon has announced pricing and availability for the Samsung Galaxy Tab, and anybody hoping for a sub-$200 contract bargain will be sorely disappointed.  Instead, Verizon will offer the 7-inch Android slate for $599.99 with no agreement when it arrives in stores on November 11 2010.  There'll also be an optional monthly access plan for data.

That plan will give users 1GB of mobile data over the Galaxy Tab's EVDO Rev.A connection every month, in return for $20.  It seems there's no minimum agreement involved, as with the iPad 3G plans on AT&T.

V CAST Music and V CAST Song ID, VZ Navigator, Slacker Radio, Kindle for Android, BLOCKBUSTER On Demand, and the exclusive golf game "Let's Golf" will all be available, and the Verizon Galaxy Tab will support SMS and MMS messaging.  Still, we've a feeling the carrier will see customers in short supply at that sort of price.
