Samsung Galaxy Tab gets £680 Amazon UK price: due November 1

Amazon UK has leapt into the Samsung Galaxy Tab pricing ring, slapping a £679.99 unlocked and SIM-free tag onto the 7-inch Android slate, and claiming it will begin shipping on November 1st 2010. That makes it more expensive than the previous UK price we've seen for the Galaxy Tab, and it's worth noting that Amazon are even including a discount in that: they reckon the Froyo tablet's RRP is actually £799.99.

That's definitely on the high end when you consider the pricing for Apple's iPad, and right now it's unclear where these figures are coming from. Samsung is yet to confirm its own figures, instead concentrating on announcing carrier partners for subsidized versions of the Galaxy Tab in the US and Europe.
