Samsung Galaxy Tab Amazon price slashed to £600

We mentioned Amazon UK's November 1st listing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab yesterday, and now it seems the retailer has decided to slash the price a little more.  The 7-inch Froyo slate has now crept under the £600 mark: yesterday Amazon were asking pre-order customers for £679.99, whereas today it's just £599.99 ($932).

That's for a SIM-free, unlocked version of the Galaxy Tab; we're expecting carrier subsidized models to be cheaper again, though of course on the condition that you sign up to a likely two year agreement.  It's £200 less than what Amazon are quoting as Samsung's RRP of £799.99, too, though since the South Korean company is yet to publicly confirm a price we'll have to take the retailer's word for that.

Unfortunately, the one thing that hasn't changed overnight is the release date, which remains at November 1st.  Samsung told us back at IFA 2010 that the Galaxy Tab would arrive in Europe sometime this month, with US availability pegged for October; it now seems that might not quite be the case.
