Earlier this month some images of the Galaxy Tab A (2016) tablet with S Pen leaked giving us a glimpse at what the tablet will look like when it landed. The time is now here with Samsung getting official with the new tablet on its online store. The main display of the tablet is 10-inches with a resolution of 1920 x 1080.

That screen is a TFT unit, has 16M colors, and supports the S Pen for digital input when needed. The processor is a 1.6GHz Octa-core unit and the OS is Android 6.0. The main camera on the tablet is an 8.0MP CMOS unit that can record full HD video at 30fps. The main camera also has flash with a front camera that has 2.0MP resolution.

Internal storage is 32GB and that 1.6GHz octa-core processor is mated with 3GB of RAM. Internal storage can be expanded with microSD cards up to 256GB. The tablet is available in a version supporting 4G FDD LTE connectivity. GPS, GLONASS, and Beidu are supported. WiFi Direct is integrated along with Bluetooth 4.2 and a USB 2.0 port. Unlike the new iPhone, this tablet does have a 3.5mm headphone port.

The tablet is only offered in black or white and measures 245.3 x 164.2 x 8.2mm and weighs 558 grams. The internal battery has 7300 mAh of power and is good for up to 13 hours of internet use on LTE. Pricing is a bit of a question mark right now as is when the tablet might show up in the US and other countries.
