Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with T-Mobile AWS bands visits FCC

What appears to be another version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has just passed through the FCC with support for T-Mobile bands. Despite the ban in Germany and continued legal drama all around, Samsung's well-received Android tablet is still welcome here in the states, at least for the time being. WiFi-only and Verizon 4G LTE versions are already available and now another one could be heading to T-Mobile.

The FCC filing documents only identify the device as Samsung SGH-T859, but given the looks and dimensions, it's unlikely to be anything else other than the Galaxy Tab 10.1. It supports the 1700MHz AWS bands for T-Mobile along with 850 and 1900 GSM bands, EDGE, and WCDMA/HSPA.

It'll be interesting to see if and when this tablet launches for T-Mobile, as both companies are in precarious situations. Samsung is still facing a possible ban of its Galaxy-branded tablets and smartphones here in US with a court date set for July of next year. T-Mobile, on the other hand, could be merged with AT&T if the $39 billion dollar deal gets approved.
