Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 hinted for AT&T with second FCC pass

On April 2, the huge Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 was leaked by some sources, as well as a smaller 5.8-inch model. A week or so later, the Galaxy Mega became official, with Samsung revealing the device in both sizes alongside their respective specs. Now the 6.3-inch version has hit the FCC again, this time hinting at an AT&T release.

The handset appeared on the FCC's website as the SGH-i527, and is accompanied by support for AT&T's LTE network. Taking a peek at things, it seems like nothing else about the handset has changed, and there's no word on when (if) the Mega will surface at AT&T, but we'll be keeping our eye out for any more clues.

The Galaxy Mega 6.3 features a 6.3-inch 720p HD screen, which makes it the latest in a growing library of phones that near tablet size. Under the hood, users will find a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. The battery is a hefty 3,200mAh capacity to accompany that huge display, which is sure to take more than its share of energy.

The handset runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2, and offers a rear 8-megapixel camera, as well as a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. Alongside that is an HDR software feature, as well as the more common modes and filters you'd expect (continuous shot, panorama, night mode). There's S Translator, S Voice 2.0, S Travel, WatchOn, and ChatOn, among others.

Internal storage is available in both 8GB and 16GB capacities, as well as a microSD expansion slot with support up to 64GB. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, GPS, and NFC. The handset is priced at £459.99/$697 USD. The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is available in both black and in white model, as well.
