Samsung Acme i8910: S60v5 touch OS, 720p HD video recording & AMOLED

We'd wager the blood pressure among Samsung execs is riding high this week, as leaks out of the company are springing up everywhere.  Latest after the mobile-DJ-friendly M7600 comes action shots of the Samsung Acme i8910, the hardware of which we saw last week but whose Symbian S60 v.5 touch-interface, huge glass-covered AMOLED display and 8-megapixel camera are now being seen for the first time.

The Acme i8910 looks set to blow Nokia's touch-S60 devices out of the water, given its roster of DLNA, DivX and HD certification, together with an HDMI output, GPS and WiFi.  Throw into the mixture a standard 3.5mm headphone socket, what looks to be a front-facing camera for video calls, and what we're presuming is 3G HSDPA, this could well fight the rumored GSM Palm Pre to be the star device of Mobile World Congress next week.

Exact screen dimensions are unknown, but given that the BlackBerry Storm has a 3-inch display it's not hard to figure that the Samsung Acme i8910 must be rocking around 3.5-inches.  We're also hearing that it supports 720p HD video recording, which would be a first for a cellphone.
