RIM launches BlackBerry Mobile Fusion for businesses

Part of RIM's success in the enterprise market is making available easy deployment and access tools for its line of BlackBerry devices. Today they've announced BlackBerry Mobile Fusion, which will allow enterprise administrators to access and manage BlackBerry devices from a simple to use web interface. Mobile Fusion is able not only to manage BlackBerry devices, but also Android and iOS.

The interface will be able to manage smartphones and tablets running BlackBerry 7 and earlier, as well as the Playbook, plus Android and iOS devices. Administrators will be able to configure devices, as well as change profiles. If a user has multiple devices, Mobile Fusion will be able to detect and handle that without any issues.

Mobile Fusion integrates with BlackBerry Exchange Server without any trouble, bringing similar features like 256-bit encryption, support for BlackBerry Balance, and OTA app install capabilities for BlackBerry phones, as well as the Playbook.

RIM say that the software is free to download, with costs for its use varying depending on the number of devices being managed. RIM offers a 60 day trial, and after that a Client Access License will start at $99 per user, or $4 per user per month.
