Rick and Morty S3 premiere debuts on Adult Swim

Rick and Morty fans, the day you've been long awaiting is finally here! Adult Swim began broadcasting the first episode of the animated show's much anticipate third season on Saturday, and before you ask, no, it wasn't an April Fools' joke. Not only did the first new episode in over a year and half run during Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block last night, but it was also played on repeat on Adult Swim's streaming website.

As of this writing, the episode, titled "The Rickshank Rickdemption" can still be seen online, but it is unfortunately limited to "select locations." It's not clear how long they'll running it, so make sure to check it out ASAP. The site is also streaming the complete first and second seasons of Rick and Morty back-to-back, perfect for new fans to jump in to this hilarious show, and long-time viewers to catch up.

There is still a bit more bad news, sadly. Fans shouldn't expect to see new episodes of the sci-fi comedy each week, as Adult Swim says season three won't officially premiere until some time this summer. It seems they've just dropped the first episode a bit early, with the April Fools' joke being that we still have several months to wait until the rest of the season.

The new episode addresses the cliffhanger ending of season two, but it may be difficult to catch it from the beginning on the stream. Fortunately it's not too difficult to just start watching wherever it lands, as the show's quick-witted, oddball humor can be followed from any point.
