Remastered The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD comparison video looks good

Sometimes the video game industry feels a bit like the movie industry with everything being sequels or updated versions of classic movies and games. One of the remastered video games that some old school gamers might be on the lookout for is The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD for Wii U. Nintendo is remastering the GameCube game for the Wii U and to get fans excited it has released a comparison video of the original game and the new version.

The official launch date for the game on Wii U is March 4. The graphics updates are clearly visible if not massively different than the original. Lighting is better and the characters look better. It's easy to forget how good this game actually looked on the GameCube. Nintendo has added new features to the game including Ghost Lantern mode and Hero mode. The latter is a more difficult mode for the game to challenge experienced players.

Ghost Lantern mode works when players are in the same area as Poe and promises to make the Poe soul-retrieving quest easier to finish. Nintendo has also expanded the wallet that Link carriers making it hold more rupees. In the original if you found more money in a chest, but your wallet was full the money returned to the chest. In the remastered version, you get to keep more of that loot.

Hero mode doubles all the damage that player receives and removes dropped hearts. Other Wii U related changes to the game include updates to give players access to the map and inventory at all times from the GamePad. Players can also use the GamePad for off-TV gaming. Anyone who purchases the physical version of the game will also get a Wolf Link amiibo figure that gives access to the Cave of Shadows.
