Razer Nommo Pro hands-on: blasting THX-certified Dolby Virtual Speaker sound
With Razer Nommo, three pairs of speakers have arrived from the gaming device company that's notorious for bringing heat to CES. These speakers arrive just in time for CES 2018, coming in three editions: Razer Nommo, Razer Nommo Chroma, and Razer Nommo Pro. These speakers look like cannons and they're made to sit right next to your gaming monitor, ready to melt your ears off.
Razer Nommo, Nommo Chroma
The Razer Nommo and Razer Nommo Chroma are exactly the same save the Chroma's added ability to work with Razer Chroma LED lighting. The Nommo Chroma also has USB connectivity – which makes sense since it's working with Chroma for super amazing rainbow LED madness.
Nomma speakers work with custom woven glass fiber 3-inch drivers and rear-facing bass ports. Each of these speakers has "gaming focused positional accuracy" so you'll know where your bad guy enemies are – on your left or your right. Each pair of Nommo speakers has a bass knob with automatic gain control, too.

Razer Nommo Pro
The Razer Nommo Pro speakers look a lot like the regular Nommo, but they're in a different league for sound power. These speakers are the ones described above as the beasts with THX Certified Premium Audio and Dolby Virtual Speaker Technology. These speakers roll with USB, Optical, Bluetooth, and 3.5mm headphone jack connectivity options.
Like the regular Nomma speakers, these speakers have "gaming focused positional accuracy" so you know where you need to turn in a dark cave. These speakers come with a downward-firing 6-inch subwoofer. And of course they have Razer Chroma lighting with an LED illuminated control pod.

Release and Pricing
Razer Nommo will be priced at approximately $100 and will hit the Razer Store online on January 9th, 2018. These speakers will also be available worldwide sometime inside the month of January – likely after the 9th. The same release dates are set for the Razer Nommo Chroma, which are priced at approximately $150 USD.
At the moment there's a big "TBC" on the release date for the Razer Nommo Pro. This most elite of the three pairs of speakers does have a price – it's sitting right up on top of the pack for $500 USD.
