Razer Blade Pro 17 (2019) gaming laptop debuts with NVIDIA RTX 2080

Razer has launched its new Razer Blade Pro 17 (2019) model, a flagship gaming laptop that packs high performance into a relatively small shell. Razer says it redesigned the new Blade Pro 17 from the ground up; buyers can expect 'the most powerful and versatile Razer laptop ever,' according to company CEO Min-Liang Tan.

The new Razer Blade Pro 17 features the 9th-generation Intel Core i7-9750H processor alongside an NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU — buyers will get to choose from the RTX 2060, 2070 with Max-Q Design, and 2080 with Max-Q Design. As well, the model is offered with 16GB of DDR4-2667Mhz dual-channel memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD. There's a second m.2 drive slot and expandable memory slots.

The new model packs a 17.3-inch Full HD 144Hz matte panel with 100-percent sRGB color space and slim 6mm bezels. The display is custom-calibrated and designed for both gamers and graphics creators, according to the company.

The new Razer Blade Pro 17 model offers a wide array of connectivity options, including a trio of USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet port, HDMI 2.0b, a pair of USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports (one is Thunderbolt 3), plus there's a UHS-III SD card reader. As far as wireless connectivity goes, the new Blade Pro 17 features Intel Wireless AX WLAN with up to a 2.4Gb/s throughput and Bluetooth 5.0.

The new model brings a stylish, familiar design. According to Razer, the Blade Pro 17 is CNC-milled from a single block of aircraft-grade aluminum; the laptop has an anodized matte finish that is resistant to scratches. The trackpad is made of glass, each key is individually backlit, and owners have 16.8 million color customization options for the keyboard.

The Razer Blade Pro 17 (2019) model will be available next month starting at $2,499 USD; the laptop includes a 1-year limited warranty with the option for buyers in the US to sign up for RazerCare.
