Razer Blade 14-inch gaming laptop gets 4K boost

This week the folks at Razer have given the Razer Blade 14-inch gaming laptop the option of a 4K display. That's absolute madness if you're thinking of bringing the laptop on an airplane for an extended flight, but right in line with the excellence that is highest-end home-laptop computing. This notebook also now has a Kaby-Lake Intel Core i7-7700HQ Quad-Core Processor (2.8 GHz / 3.8 GHz).

The 14-inch Razer Blade gaming laptop has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 inside with 6 GB GDDR5 VRAM. It also has 16GB of system memory (that's DDR4, 2400 MHz) as well as the options for internal storage of 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB SSD (PCIe M.2). These are in place for all users, from those with super basic needs – which is crazy at 256GB, compared to only a few years ago – to the higher-end at 1TB.

See more about the most recent update to this device that took place all the way back in September of 2016. My, how time flies. Back then it also had an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics processor, too.

Users will be able to choose between two displays with this release. One option is a 14-inch IPS Full HD Matte (1920 x 1080) display, while the other is a 14-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) with capacitive multi-touch options. Both versions roll with Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater Edition sound.

This device has per-key lighting with Razer Chroma across its anti-ghosting-enabled keyboard. The laptop is "Razer Synapse enabled" with the ability to program its keyboard, trackpad, and fan, as well as keyboard backlighting. Below you'll see a number of other specifications that round out this powerful piece of hardware.
