Project Morpheus GDC 2014 presentation video shared in full

Today Sony has processed and uploaded the entirety of their GDC 2014 presentation for Project Morpheus to the web. The world is now able to see what those present saw during what Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios Sony Computer Entertainment, suggested was a very "cryptic" Sony presentation. "You have no idea what we're going to talk about," said Yoshida, launching into a presentation that'd go on to swallow the conference for the rest of the week.

For those of you not having followed along before, SlashGear was also present at this event. In our Project Morpheus tag portal you'll see an ever-growing collection of hands-on experiences and new recruits to the cause. Just today, in fact, it was revealed that the latest to join the pack were the developers at Slightly Mad Studios with their next-generation auto-racing game, Project CARS.

Since that fateful day on March 18th, 2014, we've seen Sony rise as the first real competitor in the virtual reality space for Oculus VR's device Oculus Rift. And with recent Facebook-related Oculus news as of late, some are saying Project Morpheus is Gaming's only hope.

Above you're seeing the official hands-on Sony presentation of Project Morpheus. You'll see Richard Marks, SR Director SW Engineering (R&D) SCEA, speaking about the project there as well.

Next you're seeing one of two SlashGear presentations of Project Morpheus gameplay. Here we're seeing The Castle, made by Sony Computer Entertainment, as well as The Deep. Below you're seeing the game EVE Valkyrie, an offshoot of EVE Online in which you're invited to be inside the spaceship rather than behind it.

Have a peek at the timeline below to catch up on Project Morpheus and stay tuned as Sony continues to leverage their massive brand power behind virtual reality for the greater good of gaming. This system will be released for the PlayStation 4 in the future – at the moment there's no confirmation of when, but it'll almost certainly be outside of the bounds of this year.
