Portal 2 'Perpetual Testing Initiative' DLC trailer goes out

If you're starting to get bored of Portal 2, just wait until May 8, when the ambitious new piece of downloadable content, called Perpetual Testing Initiative, is released. The DLC will give players one of the most appealing additions to the Portal franchise to date – the ability to create custom levels. That's right; you can finally make your own Portal masterpieces.

Portal 2 has a ton of fans. It received Game of the Year awards up the wazoo in 2011, and continues to draw in new players today. By adding an entire new level of depth to the experience, it will create an even stronger mark in the video game world. That said, it should be pointed out that the user-generated content will only be available for PC players.

Those who prefer to get their Portal game on through the Xbox 360 or PS3 will be sorely disappointed. But for those who do play on the PC – the nearly universally accepted better version of the game – the experience is sure to be blown wide open really quickly. Even those who don't want to invest the time to create their own levels, those who do will be able to upload theirs for everyone to enjoy. Check it out:
