Polk Atrium Garden Speakers Are Expensive Ways to Listen to Music Outdoors

Polk's name is pretty much synonymous with home audio, and that probably has something to do with the fact that their equipment, while pretty high quality, also comes with a high price tag. Can't get away from it, we imagine. Either way, the company's got a new range of speakers for the outdoorsman in you (and we mean your backyard, for the record), and as you might imagine, they aren't cheap.

Considering Summer is pretty much right on top of us, we know that there's going to be quite a few people out there rustling out their BBQ's and readying themselves for long afternoon's outside. Thankfully you've got Polk looking out for you, because they know you want to listen to your music in the best quality possible while you cook up those steaks. That's why they've introduced Atrium Garden Speakers. The units themselves look like speakers, and can be mounted, hung, or even stuck into the ground if you're into that kind of thing.

But it's when you get to the subwoofer that things get pretty cool. It's a terracotta-colored woofer, and it's designed to look like a pot. The speakers themselves feature "long throw" drivers, to make sure that you get the best audio quality while you're listening to your tunes out there, beyond the innards of your home. The speakers, as well as the subwoofer are all designed to take heavy blows from lawn equipment, like lawn mowers, and should do pretty well in the survival department. You can pick up the whole set right now from Amazon for (only) $600. Like we said, they aren't cheap, but at least we can imagine they sound great.
