Pokemon GO Research update and Shiny Eevee Let's GO to mobile transfer

New Pokemon GO Field Research updates and the re-appearance of Latias, Latios, Kyogre, and Groudon have appeared in this week's update for the monster-laden game. This update also brings about a new Shiny Pokemon rarity change, if only temporarily, in the Pokemon named Spinda! If you accomplish the latest Field Research in time, you'll get the opportunity to see a Spinda, and according to a Pokemon GO representative, "if you're lucky, you might encounter a Shiny one!"

This week's EX Raid updates include a June 23rd launch of a new sort of battle with Ex Raid Passes with Speed Forme Deoxys! Trainers will receive Ex Raid Passes starting on June 23, 2019, at 8 a.m. PDT (or in the next few days after that), and will encounter Speed Forme Deoxys in the process – just so long as you reach the raid in time!

To find a participating gym near you, open the details of each Pokemon Gym you encounter. If your gym qualifies, you could receive an Ex Raid Pass after winning a Raid Battle. If you receive an Ex Raid invitation, don't pass it up! You might've seen a Deoxys before – but this is the one you'll want to keep!

Starting on July 1st, 2019, at 1 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) and running until September 1st, 2019 (at that same time of day), a new collection of Research Breakthrough encounters will be available. Those will include everyone's supposedly-rare but surprisingly common legendary Pokemon Latias, Latios, Kyogre, and Groudon!

ON the ever-developing saga of SHINY EEVEE: Shiny Eevee has been a point of contention amongst players and, now, officials at Niantic, when it comes to Pokemon GO and Pokemon Let's GO over the last few weeks. With respect to the recent last release of Shiny Eevee, it's been discussed behind-the-scenes that Niantic would POSSIBLY turn on the switch to allow transfers from the Nintendo Switch games TO the mobile games.

It's still not clear how this would occur, or if it'd mean that the game would suddenly allow back-and-forth transfers for every Pokemon. It's also not CONFIRMED yet whether they'll update the games to allow the transfer from console-to-mobile instead of just mobile-to-console, but it's been discussed! Stay tuned as we (cross your fingers) learn more!
