Asus makes new Nexus 7 tablet tips leaked photo

Rumors continue to swirl around the Google Nexus 7 tablet that is expected to launch soon. This will be Google's first direct tablet, and the rumors have long pointed to Asus as the manufacturer partner in the project. There have been no official confirmations that the tablet is coming or that Asus is the manufacturing company so far.

A photograph of ceiling tiles turned up on Picasa recently. The photograph doesn't show anything interesting as far as tablet hardware or what the tablet will officially look like. However, the metadata inside the photograph does seem to confirm the manufacturer of the tablet.

According to that data, Asus made the camera, which would imply Asus is the manufacturer of the tablet. The photograph was uploaded back on the seventh, according to Picasa, though it's worth remembering that EXIF data can be very easily changed.

Still, if it's a fake then it's a pretty complete one; even the location data – the photo being GPS tagged – matches up with one of Google's own buildings. We're hoping to hear more about the Nexus 7 tablet at Google I/O.
