Pentax AP50 DSLR - special 50th anniversary edition

Pentax announced its new DSLR camera in tribute to its original film camera back in 1957 when its known as Asahi Optical Joint Stock Co. The AP50 is designed with vintage touch with its pyramid chassis for the pentaprism viewfinder.

The AP50 digital controls is still mostly remains the same as the K10D, however the controls are being positions differently in order to keep the chassis design and style. The pop-up flash is not part of this camera body anymore.

Pentax will be displaying the AP50 at its Tokyo headquarters from today until the end of July.
