PayPal for iPhone update adds full mobile history access, new UI

eBay may have bought mobile payments specialist Zong, but that doesn't mean that PayPal will disappearing from the mobile line-up. A new PayPal for iPhone update has been released, with a streamlined UI and more control over previous transactions that used to require a trip to your desktop browser.

A new homescreen now acts as a jumping point for all the various sending and receiving money features, and there's a transaction history page that shows incoming and outgoing payments. Since you might not want to see everything on your iPhone display, new filtering options make an appearance as well. PayPal says the changes are all based on user-feedback.

Meanwhile, the Reminders feature from previous versions of the app has been removed from v3.4, though users will be able to export any remaining reminder entries to the iOS calendar itself. You can download the updated PayPal for iPhone app here [iTunes link]
