Overwatch Anniversary 2018 event will be a blast from the past

It's kind of hard to believe, but this month will mark two years since Overwatch released. Overwatch has become one of Blizzard's biggest and most successful games, and this two-year anniversary has Blizzard in the mood to celebrate. Today, the company announced Overwatch's next event, aptly named Overwatch Anniversary 2018, and with it, you'll get the chance to relive limited-time game modes and unlock skins from the past.Overwatch Anniversary 2018 was announced via Twitter earlier today, and it promises that many of the limited-time game modes that were available in previous seasonal events will be playable once more. While we probably aren't likely to see all of them, some of the more popular ones like Lucioball and Dr. Junkenstein's Revenge seem like shoe-ins for this anniversary event.

On top of that, you'll be able to unlock many of the seasonal skins that have been released over the past two years. In short, Overwatch Anniversary 2018 sounds like the perfect way for a new player to get caught up on what they may have missed throughout Overwatch's first two years. Of course, the fact that this is an anniversary event doesn't mean there won't be anything new for veteran players.
