Oppo R9 and R9 Plus land at TENAA

Oppo smartphone fans have a pair of new devices to lust over called the Oppo R9 Plus and the Oppo R9. Both of these new devices have crossed TENAA in China looking for certifications needed to hit the market. Part of the certification process means they were photographed and hardware details were published.

The first device is the R9 Plus designed to support 900MHz, 1800MHz, 850MHz, 1900MHz, 800MHz, 2GHz, Band 38, Band 39, Band 40, Band 41(2555-2575 MHZ,2575-2635 MHZ,2635-2655 MHZ), Band 1, Band 3, and 1.9GHz networks. The smartphone will come in gold or rose gold colors and weighs 185g. Measurements are 163 x 80.8 x 7.4mm and the display has 16 million colors.

The screen is a 6-inch AMOLED unit with 1920 x 1080 pixels and the smartphone has an internal antenna. The other smartphone is the Oppo R9 and it supports network frequencies of 900MHz, 1800MHz, 850MHz, 1900MHz, 800MHz, 2GHz, Band 38, Band 39, Band 40, Band 41(2555-2575 MHZ, 2575-2635 MHZ, 2635-2655 MHZ), Band 1, Band 3, 1900MHz, I, and VIII. The processor runs at 1.8GHz and is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. A memory card slot is offered for storage expansion and Android 5.0 is the operating system for the device.

It will come in gold or silver colors, measures 151.8 x 74.3 x 6.5mm, and weighs 145g. The 5.5-inch OLED screen has a native resolution of 1080 x 1920 and supports 16 million colors. The chip runs at 1.95 GHz and is paired with 4GB of RAM and Android 5.1 as the OS. Internal storage is 32GB with a microSD card slot for expansion. While TENAA calls out the processor frequency, it's unclear specifically which processor each of these smartphones use.
