OnePlus Mini turns up on Amazon India briefly

Few companies these days can keep a lid on their new devices ahead of launch. We continually see leaks that show what the new smartphones look like and pack under the hood ahead of the official unveil to the point where it's easy to assume that the company is leaking the products themselves to build up some buzz ahead of the official launch. The latest leaked smartphone comes by way of a page on Amazon India showing some details on the OnePlus Mini.

The OnePlus Mini page has since been pulled from Amazon, but not before screen shots were taken and the beans were spilled. If you are wondering why the device turned up on an Amazon page in India, the device is about to start local production in that country.

Details gleaned from the Amazon page include that the smartphone will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with OxygenOS 3.0 over the top. It will have a metal frame around the body and Side Touch functionality. The display is a 5-inch IPS unit with 1080 x 1920 resolution and 401 ppi.

The processor is a MediaTek MT6795 with 2GB of RAM and power comes from a 2450 mAh Li-Po battery. ClearForce tech from Synaptics is also listed in the specs. While this leak comes from India, another OnePlus device is set to launch in globally on Oct 29 called the OnePlus X according to OnePlus in China. It's unclear if the OnePlus X and the OnePlus Mini are the same device at this time.
