Official HTC One M9 images & specs leaked on German retail site

HTC has already confirmed that it will officially reveal its next generation One smartphone at Mobile World Conference in a little over a week, but it seems like one German retailer jumped the gun and accidentally posted the specs and official images on their website early. While the product pages on Cyberport's site for the HTC One M9 have now been taken down, it just wasn't quick enough. The fact that it's this close to HTC's March 1st unveiling, and that retailers often some info early enough to have product listings ready, seems to improve the chances that this is the real deal.

First up, the basics. The alleged official product images show the One M9 in silver and a near-black gunmetal. The silver model appears to feature a light gold color on the front of the device. As for the smartphone's overall design, little has changed from the M8 in terms of shape and placements of the cameras and speaker grilles.

Now on to the specs. Cyberport detailed the One M9 as featuring a 5-inch Full HD scree, a 2 GHz Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of memory, and 32GB in storage, which is expandable. For the cameras, it's 20 megapixels on the back, and 4 on the front. The M9's measurements were said to be 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.61 millimeters, making it ever-so-slightly larger and thicker than the M8, however in weight of the M9 is 2.5 grams lighter than the predecessor at 157.5 grams. Rounding it out are Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS, and LTE-A (300Mbps).

Obviously we'll have to wait to hear the official pricing from HTC, but Cyberport's listing had a tentative price of 750 euros, which is said to be standard for a 32GB flagship Android device in Europe. Previous leaked images have indicated that there would be little change in the design of the M9, so this listing is in line with expectations. Plus it's hard to argue with product shots of this quality. Seems like a very safe bet that this is what we'll be seeing from HTC next week.
