Oculus Rift is being tested at Chuck E Cheese

Oculus Rift has been tested in a variety of applications, the latest of which is as a "Virtual Ticket Blaster Experience" with Chuck E. Cheese, of all places. The kid-centric franchise is full of games and screaming children, the latter of which get to try out the virtual experience at select Chuck E. Cheese stores.

The virtual reality device is being used under a six-week test run only in three markets at the moment: Dallas, San Diego, and Orlando. One game offered by the stores is called Ticket Blaster, which places kids in a booth and tasks them with grabbing tickets.

The Oculus test is based on this game, tasking them with the same mission, only in the digital world where actual tickets aren't blasted around. The game was made by Reel FX, which is based in Dallas and has referred to Oculus Rift as a "game changer".

The testing was announced by the franchise today, and the president of its owner CEC Entertainment spoke on the matter, saying that "Our challenge is to deliver an experience not available at home, and there is no doubt virtual reality does just that."
