Nokia 8 release specs just dropped

This week the folks at Nokia have revealed their first Android flagship – the Nokia 8. This device's specifications and release information were shared by the company right on cue, and today we've got the lot. This device is a flagship in all the ways – or most of the ways – and Android flagship should.

The device we're looking at here rolls with what you'd expect of a high-end smartphone from the likes of HTC, LG, or Samsung. Inside it's got a Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM, so you know it's running with top-end power capabilities. Its display is 5.3-inches with IPS LCD technology and 2560 x 1440 pixels across its face.

This device has a splash-proof coating on its insides with a rating of IP54. It comes in single-SIM and dual-SIM card versions, and has a 3,090 mAh battery. That battery is non-removable and can charge (with USB-C) with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 at super speeds.

The Nokia 8's release begins in Europe, and it'll begin a global launch on September 6th, 2017. This device's release price starts at 599 Euros, and will eventually come to the USA with a similar pricing structure – that's around $705 USD.
