Nintendo Switch weekly eShop update has two huge releases

It's another big week for the Nintendo Switch eShop. The list of new launches is fairly short compared to previous weeks, but the lineup is still punctuated by some big names. Perhaps the biggest is Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, which is being ported over to the Switch about nine months after launching on other platforms.

Like Bethesda's earlier port of DOOM, we can likely expect something in the way of graphics compromises to get Wolfenstein II running smoothly on Switch. Still, if the Switch is your main (or only) gaming platform, the port of Wolfenstein II should get the job done regardless. You'll even be able to use the Switch's motion controls as you combat the unrelenting Nazis, so the Switch version might be worth a look for the fresh spin it offers.

The other big game launching this week is the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. What was once a PlayStation 4 exclusive, this compilation that offers modern remakes of the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy will be arriving on Switch, Xbox One, and PC on the same day. As you can see from the list above, Wolfenstein II and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy are being joined by INSIDE and LIMBO this week on Nintendo Switch. Both of those games are highly popular indie titles from Playdead, and though many who are interested have probably played them on other platforms by now, the Switch offers a good chance to play through them again on a portable machine.
