Nintendo Switch weekly eShop update delivers a ton of indie games

Nintendo has detailed another week's worth of upcoming releases for the eShop, and in an increasingly rare twist, a 3DS game is the headliner this time around. Attention as largely moved away from the 3DS as the Switch grows in popularity, but every once in a while, the little handheld still gets a big release. That's happening this week with the launch of Yo-Kai Watch 3.

The Yo-Kai Watch series has been going strong since 2013 now, and all of the titles in the series have franchise on the 3DS thus far. This is actually the final entry in the series that will appear on Nintendo 3DS, as the next installment will be on Nintendo Switch. Yo-Kai Watch 4 is scheduled to release in Japan sometime during Q1 2019, and at the moment, we don't have any details about localization.

The fact that Nintendo is focusing first and foremost on Yo-Kai Watch 3 doesn't mean there isn't anything worth talking about on the Switch this week. The Switch games Nintendo promoted with today's announcement include The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince, Away: Journey to the Unexpected, and Observer.
