Nintendo Switch Super Mario Odyssey bundle drops on October 27

Minecraft for 3DS was only a taste of Nintendo's announcements this evening. The company has introduced a new Nintendo Switch bundle that'll be arriving late next month, and it is themed around Super Mario Odyssey. The bundle includes this latest Super Mario game, of course, as well as red-themed Joy-Cons and more.

Nintendo announced the new bundle during its Nintendo Direct broadcast this evening, the same broadcast during which it announced some new dates and revealed some expected release windows. We have a hard and fast date for the Super Mario Odyssey Switch bundle, as shown in the tweet below: October 27.

Super Mario Odyssey is a big release for Nintendo, and an exciting one for Switch owners. The game was a central item in Nintendo's broadcast, indicating how heavily it is pushing the game. The bundle features a black console with red Joy-Cons, plus a Switch carrying case and the game itself.

That case has some markings on it that look something like a globe. If you're located in the United States, you can expect to pay $380 USD for the bundle. The set is arriving just in time for the holiday shopping season, and will be joined by some other products. The company revealed, for example, that DOOM will arrive on its console in time for Christmas.
