Nintendo Switch Cyber Monday deals boil down to one thing: More Games

After skipping the Black Friday and Cyber Monday festivities in 2017, the Switch is at the center of a couple of deals this year. On Black Friday, we saw a bundle that included what was essentially a free copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. For Cyber Monday, Nintendo has queued up another deal that doesn't discount the Switch itself, but does offer a freebie for those who pick one up.

Anyone who buys a Nintendo Switch through a participating online retailer on Cyber Monday will get a $35 eShop credit on the house. You can then use that eShop credit to pick up a couple of indie titles and jump start your game collection or use it to bring the price of a more expensive game – like Pokemon Let's Go or Super Mario Odyssey – down a little bit.

Keep in mind that you can only get this eShop credit by purchasing a Switch today, November 26, as Nintendo's promotion ends at 11:59 PM Pacific. This Cyber Monday promotion only applies to base Switch models – those with either the gray or neon red and blue Joy-Cons – so unfortunately, it sounds like you can't get the eShop credit if you buy one of the various Switch bundles that exist.

At the moment, Nintendo is running a promotion on the eShop that has a number of Switch titles discounted. That means you can potentially make that $35 credit go further than it normally would, but that sale wraps up at 8:59 AM Pacific on November 28, so there isn't much time left to buy.

Of course, even though this is the official Cyber Monday deal from Nintendo, that doesn't stop retailers for tacking on various extras or offering better deals to get you to buy from them. GameStop, for instance, is offering a $50 gift card instead of the eShop credit on Switch consoles, so that might be worth considering too. Are you picking up a Nintendo Switch today?
