Nintendo Black Friday eShop sale kicks off for Switch and 3DS

While there may not be much in the way of hardware deals from Nintendo on Black Friday this year, it seems there are plenty of game discounts to be had. Today, Nintendo kicked off a Black Friday eShop sale for both Switch and 3DS. Though the sale might not be as extensive as something like a Steam sale, there are still some notable games marked down on both consoles.

It probably shouldn't come as much surprise that the Switch is getting the lion's share of attention here. Unfortunately, there aren't many first-party Nintendo games on sale, so if you were hoping to pick up Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey on the cheap, you're out of luck. Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is down to $41.99, though, and makes for a very solid platformer if you haven't already played it.

Other noteworthy deals on the Switch include Enter the Gungeon for $7.49, Snipperclips for $9.99, and the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for $25.99. Bethesda's games are all on sale, with Skyrim, DOOM, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus marked down to $29.99 each. If you're skipping Tropical Freeze but you've still got a soft spot for platformers, Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is down to $19.99 while the very excellent Sonic Mania is $14.99.

Over on the 3DS side of things, we see more first-party discounts than we did with the Switch. Hyrule Warriors Legends is $19.99 and Kirby Fighters Deluxe is $3.49. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is only $13.99 during this sale as well. Other games worth checking out include SteamWorld Heist ($7.49), Rayman Origins ($14.99), and Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past ($19.99).

The sale is already underway, so head over to the eShop on your Switch or 3DS and to browse all of the deals. It'll end on November 28 at 8:59 AM Pacific, giving you just about a week to pick up some new games. Is there anything that you've got your eye on in this sale?
