Nintendo 3DS update brings Miiverse support and more

Nintendo has announced some very nice updates for are inbound for the Nintendo 3DS game console. The system update will bring several new features, including the ability to combine a balance on the Nintendo eShop from the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U consoles. This means that gamers who have account balances on either console can spend the money where they want.

If you can't find a game you want to spend your account money on via the Wii U, the update will allow you to use the money to buy a new portable game on your 3DS and vice versa. The update will also allow 3DS owners that don't own a Wii U to make their own Nintendo Network ID for the first time.

Another new feature that the update will bring to the 3DS is support for Miiverse. Once the 3DS user creates their own Nintendo Network ID, they will be able to access Miiverse when they are connected to WiFi to share experiences and more. The 3DS will also be getting a new video service this month.

Nintendo has announced that YouTube access will be coming to the 3DS this month. The console will have to be connected to a broadband network. Nintendo is also offering a new bundle pack featuring a customized 3DS XL console and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds game set to launch on November 22. The bundle will sell for $219.99 and was announced in October.
