New MacBook Pro price and release detailed

Can hardly wait to get your hands on the newly unveiled MacBook Pros? Apple has detailed the pricing and availability, and as you probably expect, it involves some waiting...unless you want the cheapest of the three models. The non-Touch Bar 13-inch MacBook Pro is available (as in, it is shipping) as of today, while you'll have to wait two or three weeks for the 13-inch model with Touch Bar to start shipping, as well as the 15-inch model (which only comes in a Touch Bar variety).

Putting that more simply:

- MacBook Pro 13" without Touch Bar: Shipping today

- MacBook Pro 13" with Touch Bar: Shipping in 2 to 3 weeks

- MacBook Pro 15" with Touch Bar: Shipping in 2 to 3 weeks

As far as price goes, you'll be shelling out at $1,499 (or more) for the 13-inch model without Touch Bar, while the 13-inch model with a Touch Bar starts at $1,799 and the 15-inch model with Touch Bar starts at $2,399 USD.

What you'll get with the laptop of course depends on the configuration you choose. The non-Touch Bar is obviously the lesser of the three models. With it you get a 13.3-inch Retina display alongside a 6th-generation dual-core Intel processor, Intel Iris Graphics 540 w eDRAM, a 256GB SSD 3GB/s SSD, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a large Force Touch trackpad, and the 2nd-gen butterfly mechanism with the new keyboard.

This is compared with the Touch Bar 13" model, which features a faster 2.9Ghz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor, Intel Iris Graphics 550, 8GB of RAM (the same as the non-Touch Bar version), 256GB SSD, and four Thunderbolt 3 ports. The 15-inch model is largely the same, featuring the Touch Bar and Touch ID found on the mid-13" offering, as well as a 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, Radeon Pro 450 graphics, 16GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, and four Thunderbolt 3 ports.
