Netflix's BoJack Horseman is heading to Comedy Central

Netflix hit animated series BoJack Horseman is coming to Comedy Central, the network has announced. This is a milestone for Netflix, which launched the series on its streaming platform. The show will continue to be a Netflix original, according to the company — Comedy Central is syndicating some of the content, meaning its viewers will be able to watch episodes that are already available for streaming.

Netflix has released four seasons of BoJack Horseman with plans to release Season 5 on September 14. The show is available to all Netflix subscribers because it is an original series, one rated TV-MA. Voice cast includes Will Arnett, Aaron Paul, and Amy Sedaris.

Comedy Central announced plans to air BoJack Horseman today, saying the show will arrive on its network starting September 26. That date is notably about a week after the Season 5 launch, giving fans enough time to get hooked and then turn toward Netflix as potential new subscribers.

According to ScreenRant, this deal will only bring the show's first season to Comedy Central. The network's general manager Tanya Giles called BoJack Horseman a "perfect fit in [its] lineup." It's unclear whether the deal could eventually expand to cover additional seasons, but it's easy to see how limited availability may result in a few more Netflix signups.

The show is available on Netflix here.
